How This Skill Gap Analyzer Works
This tool uses a curated skill taxonomy based on O*NET and LinkedIn's skills data. Each career profile contains 15-25 core skills categorized by technical, soft, and domain knowledge. The algorithm identifies exact matches (overlap), required skills you lack (gaps), and related skills that can be leveraged (transferable).
- Overlapping skills: Skills present in both current and target roles.
- Skill gaps: Critical skills required for the target role that you need to develop.
