How Push Reminders Work (Even When Browser Is Closed)
This tool uses the Web Push API with Service Workers. Once you enable notifications, your browser registers with a push service. Our server can then send a push message that wakes up the Service Worker, which displays the notification—all without needing the browser or website to be open.
- VAPID authentication ensures secure communication between server and push service.
- Service Worker runs in the background and handles incoming push events.
- Notifications appear in your OS notification center, even if the browser is closed.
- All data is stored locally in your browser. No account required.
