The calculator uses a multi‑factor model:
- Income estimation: Base by education × industry multiplier × environment multiplier. If you provide your income, that overrides the estimate.
- Savings rate: Derived from spending habit and hobby cost, then applied to income.
- Investment growth: Future value of current savings and annual savings using real return (nominal return deflated by inflation).
- Retirement & estate: Assets are drawn down during retirement; final estate is what remains at life expectancy.
- All monetary values are shown in today's purchasing power (real).
